Myth:
Marshall has sub par academics based on Greatschools.org sub par score.

Facts:
Unlike college administrators, Greatschools.org does not give credit for the International Baccalaureate (IB)* curricula.
U.S. News and World Report, who factors in IB, ranks Marshall the #6, out of 330 high schools in the state of Virginia
Marshall is ranked as the #1 IB program in the state
It is one of four schools in the country who integrates the IB program into the rest of the school’s curriculum.
There are over 60 languages spoken at Marshall
Marshall had a $60M renovation in 2014 increasing the school form 1300 students to 2200
Unlike most schools, students can not be pupil placed at Marshall. It is reserved exclusively for students who live in the district

*The IB program was established so school around the world would have a consistent education curriculum to better prepare students for the global economy is considered by college administrators as every bit as valuable as Advanced Placement (AP).
