Northern Virginia shows strong signs of rebounding in December.

Most people take their homes off the market during the holidays. This gives the ones that stay on the market, a better chance of selling. Vienna new homes and under $1M improved in November as did inventory in Oakton. Visit our inventory section at the bottom of our homepage to view the updated inventory. Inventory under 33% indicates a Buyer’s Market. Inventory over 50% indicates a Seller’s Market.

Casey’s take on and the impact it will have on Northern Virginia?

“I think it is better for our area that the business is located in Crystal City, not in our back yard,” he said. “The major employment centers of D.C./Arlington/Alexandria feed the bedroom communities – Falls Church, Vienna, Oakton and McLean. Any employment boom in those major employment centers is great for the bedroom communities.”

Casey also believes the new expansion of Tyson’s Corner will have a positive impact, as well as the investment in the area by Virginia Tech. The new buyers will be from the west coast and they love the transitional style recently discussed on Coffee with Casey, episode 17.
